LONGi certified by China Quality Certification Center (CQC) as a Witnessed Manufacturer’s Testing (WMT) laboratory

With the certification, LONGi’s laboratories can certify photovoltaic modules based on IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 international standards

21st January 2020, Xi ́an (CHINA) – China Quality Certification Center (CQC), one of the world’s leading third-party testing and certification institution has accorded LONGi the Witnessed Manufacturer’s Testing (WMT) certification for the international standards of IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. The certification is strong validation of the product quality control and laboratory testing capabilities in LONGi.

CQC provides assessments and certifications to photovoltaic manufacturers through cooperation with laboratories. With the CQC WMT certification, LONGi can now implement photovoltaic module certification tests based on the international standards of IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 in its own laboratory. Tests will be executed by LONGi Test Engineers and independently witnessed by CQC Project Engineers. LONGi laboratory will issue the test reports, which will be jointly signed by LONGi and CQC. The use of manufacturer’s laboratory testing facilities with independent eyewitness verification will reduce project cycle time in sample delivery, improve the efficiency of photovoltaic product certification, and increase the competitiveness of the product.

“LONGi and CQC are long-term strategic partners, and the WMT (Witnessed Manufacturer’s Testing) certification is validation of the high management level and testing ability of LONGi’s laboratory. This is also validation of the laboratory’s compliance with IEC International Standards and CQC Recognition Rules. We look forward to working with LONGi to derive their advantages in technological innovations in the photovoltaic field, consolidate the quality foundation work such as standards, testing, certifications, and promote the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry in China.” Ms. Xing Heping, CQC Marketing Director and Head of New Energy Department said at the ceremony.
