Leading industry player WINDSOURCING.COM boasts a new web interface and will be showcasing its products at WindEnergy Hamburg 2014 from 23rd to 26th September

The online trade portal for the wind power industry WINDSOURCING.COM has reworked and upgraded its internet presence. Company management was responding to strong growth in the wind energy products and services it was making available on its platform in the second quarter of 2014. In the process it also made the website more mobile-friendly.

A new, clearer design, improved search functions, compatibility with different devices and more up- to-date information for interested parties, customers and partners. This is the repertoire on offer on the newly designed website of WINDSOURCING.COM – the largest retail sales website worldwide for wind energy technology. “The relaunch had become necessary, because with the multitude of products and services it was important for the display format and search functions to be optimised further,” explains Founder and Managing Director Stefan Weber. The new dynamic search function meant that, within seconds, customers were able to obtain the desired results from more than 12,000 items located in more than 20 merchandise categories. At the same time the so-called responsive design ensures that the layout and content of the website would adapt to any device: “Whether via PC, tablet or smartphone – users can now browse our choice of products comfortably from wherever they choose,” Stefan Weber pointed out gladly. It turns out that the response so far has been very positive: “We are very excited about the very positive feedback and would like to thank everyone for this!” is what Stefan Weber had to say.

The platform’s recipe to success has however remained essentially the same. “Customers continue to obtain everything from us on a one-stop basis independent of the vendor, and need not contact different retailers or manufacturers to obtain spare parts and further materials from various sources for wind energy plants,” explains Stefan Weber. Particularly in the second quarter of 2014 WINDSOURCING.COM was able to expand its product catalogue more than five times through new collaborations, with Siemens and ABB for example, and in so doing became the largest online platform worldwide for wind energy technology.
