KOSTAL Industrie Elektrik has successfully completed the TISAX audit for information security at its Hagen site. The assessment was carried out by TÜV Rheinland and officially confirms the high level of security of KOSTAL's systems, processes and organisational procedures when handling sensitive data.

TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is the recognised testing and exchange standard for information security in the automotive industry. With the successful TISAX assessment, KOSTAL meets the industry-wide binding requirements for an information security management system (ISMS) – and at the same time strengthens the trust of its partners, customers and suppliers.

How KOSTAL implements the TISAX requirements

Key security and data protection aspects were comprehensively reviewed as part of the assessment. The main requirements include:

  • An established information security management system (ISMS) covering all relevant processes
  • Documented risk management to identify and address security risks at an early stage
  • An incident response plan that enables rapid and targeted responses to security incidents
  • Regular training and awareness programmes for employees to permanently embed security awareness
  • Proof of GDPR compliance, especially with regard to the handling of personal data
  • Prototype and development data protection, especially for sensitive research and customer projects

KOSTAL thus fulfils all relevant checkpoints in the VDA-ISA questionnaire and ensures that information security is implemented systematically, measurably and sustainably.
