K2 Systems now allows for the InsertionRail to be mounted directly on BasicClips. This new combination of proven components creates an efficient solution for PV installations on trapezoidal sheet metal roofs. The PV modules can then be inserted without the need for module clamps, saving valuable installation time. Additionally, the system creates a visually seamless surface that meets high aesthetic standards. A practical advantage for planners: the system is already available for system design in the K2 Base planning tool.
The combination of InsertionRail and BasicClips brings together the strengths of two established systems:
• The BasicClips, familiar from the BasicRail system, are fastened to the crest of the trapezoidal sheet metal.
• The InsertionRail is then mounted directly onto the BasicClips. The modules can subsequently be laid into the rail without module clamps – saving time and creating a clean, continuous module row.
“With the direct mounting of the InsertionRail on BasicClips, we are offering installers another solution that significantly reduces installation effort – without compromising on stability or aesthetics,” explains Mathieu Baudrit, CTO of K2 Systems.“ From both a technical and planning perspective, this is a logical step: we combine the efficiency of the BasicRail system with the simple module installation of the InsertionRail – delivering real added value for any trapezoidal sheet metal project.”
The new combination can already be selected in K2 Base under the trapezoidal sheet metal systems, making system planning even easier for installers.
