IBC SOLAR to manage four additional solar parks with a total output of over 31 MWp for solar power plant operator 7C Solarparken

Four solar parks in one go

The longstanding IBC SOLAR partner and solar power plant operator 7C Solarparken has acquired four solar parks realised by IBC SOLAR with a total output of over 31 MWp.

Bad Staffelstein / Germany, October 27, 2021 – IBC SOLAR AG, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage and 7C Solarparken AG (WKN A11QW6, ISIN: DE 000A11QW68), a publicly listed solar power plant operator with a focus on the German solar market, are deepening their existing partnership through a further collaboration.

With the purchase of four additional ground-mounted solar parks developed, planned and constructed by IBC SOLAR AG, 7C has expanded its successful cooperation with the system house from Upper Franconia. The total nominal output of the solar parks amounts to 31.76 Megawatt peak (MWp). This includes the locations Cossen with 3.18 MWp (Lunzenau, Saxony), Milmesberg with 5.44 MWp (Thuringia), Osternburg with 3.14 MWp (Saxony-Anhalt) and Draisdorf-Eggenbach with 20 MWp (Lichtenfels, Upper Franconia). The solar parks will supply a total of around 33,265 MWh of environmentally friendly solar electricity per year. The total area of all four parks amounts to 33.87 hectares.

In the course of the deepened partnership, IBC SOLAR will also take over the ongoing maintenance and services (O&M) of solar parks from 7C’s existing installations in this cooperation. In total, the system house now carries out preventive services, including medium-voltage protection tests, for over 160 MWp of the 7C portfolio. “We are delighted about the renewed cooperation between 7C and IBC SOLAR,” said Patrik Danz, CSO of IBC SOLAR AG. “We are very proud that we can ensure the ongoing success of these parks through technical management. With the technical operation, we are also opening up the opportunity for more and more investors to invest in and profit from renewables. This growth market is not only a profitable one, but also essential for achieving our climate goals.”

“A total of 335 MWp are now in our portfolio,” said Steven De Proost, CEO of 7C Solarparken AG. “The positive experience gained in our proven cooperation with IBC SOLAR made it easy for us to decide to work together again on the new solar parks. In this way, we can make a decisive contribution on the path to the energy transition.”

Trustworthy partner with enthusiasm for PV

For IBC SOLAR, the decisive factor for the cooperation with 7C Solarparken, a regional and listed company based in Bayreuth, is not only the professional handling and the enthusiasm for solar energy, but also the fair and sustainable handling for investment in green solar power. 7C Solarparken is opening up the opportunity to invest to any interested private or commercial party. The transaction is now the third cooperation between IBC SOLAR and 7C. In this context, both companies inaugurated the Oberwesterwaldbahn solar park in the Hessian communities of Elbtal/Dornburg with a capacity of 10 MWp just a few weeks ago. Further projects are in the planning stage.
