GoodWe launches award-winning ET G2 hybrid inverter to power modern homes image

Leading inverter manufacturer and smart energy solution provider GoodWe has launched the ET G2 series hybrid inverter with models available at 6kW, 8 kW, 10 kW, 12 kW and 15 kW nominal output power. The ET G2 is the company’s latest three-phase high-voltage (HV) hybrid inverter, designed to meet the evolving energy needs of modern households. This new generation of the proven ET series inverters was designed to enhance energy independence for homeowners in combination with powerful and scalable energy storage solutions. The inverter features an inbuilt smart meter, smart operation mode for maximized self-consumption and cost savings, as well as UPS-level backup mode in case of power outages.

The GoodWe ET G2 inverter was engineered for seamless blending into residential settings and simplified installation, featuring a sleek modern design and advanced functionalities. With a maximum 16A DC input per string and up to 160% PV side oversizing, the inverter ensures optimal energy generation efficiency. It is equipped with up to three Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs) to maximize energy harvesting under variable conditions. With the ability to connect up to four units in parallel, the ET G2 can also accommodate larger energy demands for single- and multi-family homes.

Designed with safety as a priority, the ET G2 inverter includes AI-driven Arc-Fault Circuit Interruption (AFCI) 3.0, remote shutdown, and Type II surge protection on DC and AC sides. It features IP66 ingress protection against water and dust, ensuring reliable operation in diverse environmental conditions. The inverter is compatible with generators, and the integrated dry contact enables load activation.

Reliable and versatile energy storage solutions for homeowners

The ET G2 hybrid-inverter is compatible with a range of batteries across a wide voltage range, including the Lynx D series, GoodWe’s new high-voltage lithium battery. Starting at 5kWh, this battery energy storage system (BESS) features stackable, self-detecting modules, enabling a capacity of up to 40kWh. The Lynx D ensures hassle-free system installation, expansion and replacement with parallel connection capabilities and the flexibility to mix old and new battery packs. Homeowners can unlock the full potential of the ET G2 inverter and HV storage system by pairing it with the GoodWe EV charger HCA G2 and any smart-grid ready heat pump. The new hybrid-inverter from GoodWe strengthens the company’s EcoSmart Home residential portfolio by combining a variety of smart operation modes to drive down energy costs.

Technology meets award-winning design

As part of the EcoSmart Home residential portfolio, the ET G2 together with the Lynx D battery system, has been awarded the Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2024. Recognizing products that demonstrate exceptional aesthetics, functionality and innovation, the award is testament to GoodWe’s design approach. The company is highlighting the requirement for acceptance by the homeowner in residential environments, offering technological advancements combined with a thoughtful design, ease of installation and quiet operation. The solution empowers customers to contribute to a greener future with a system that is “stylish home accessories on the outside and feature-packed on the inside.”
