Solar plant will supply green electricity to more than 17,900 households starting in 2026

Hirschberg a.d. Bergstraße, 30.04.2025 – GOLDBECK SOLAR, a leading specialist in turnkey photovoltaic solutions for industrial, commercial, and large-scale applications, has joined forces with ENCAVIS AG, one of Europe’s foremost independent renewable energy producers, to celebrate the symbolic groundbreaking of the La Florida HIVE solar park in Dos Hermanas, Seville, Andalucia.

Covering an area of 45 hectares, the solar park will have an installed capacity of 30.050 MWp – a significant milestone in GOLDBECK SOLAR’s solar strategy for Spain. Once operational in June 2026, the ground-mounted plant is expected to generate approximately 62,722 MWh of clean electricity annually—enough to power more than 17,900 households with sustainable energy. Simultaneously, it will help avoid around 26,343 tons of CO2 emissions each year.

Ideal Location for Solar Energy

“Andalucia offers ideal conditions for solar energy, with an average of 8.5 hours of sunshine per day and ambitious goals for the energy transition,” says Tobias Schüßler, COO of GOLDBECK SOLAR. “With La Florida HIVE, we are sending a strong signal for local energy independence and making a tangible contribution to Europe’s decarbonization. Projects like this are essential to shaping a sustainable energy future.”

State-of-the-Art Components and Grid Connection

In addition to the solar park itself, the project includes the construction of a 132-kV high-voltage substation and a 3-kilometer-long overhead transmission line to ensure reliable grid connection. A total of 43,362 bifacial solar modules with tracker system and 74 inverters will be installed, ensuring maximum energy yields. Completion is scheduled for June 2026.

Expanding the Spanish Portfolio with a Strong Partner

“We are pleased to realize another solar park in partnership with Encavis,” says Miguel Velasco, Head of Profit Center Iberoamerica at GOLDBECK SOLAR. “This project underlines our strategy to consistently expand our portfolio in Spain and make a sustainable contribution to the decarbonization of Europe.”

With the groundbreaking on April 29, 2025, the success story of renewable energy expansion in Spain continues – in pursuit of a sustainable, independent, and green energy future.
