Berlin, 14 February 2017 – Today the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation launched an extended English version of its website, offering international visitors all its available information and services at www.offshore-stiftung.de/en. “The Offshore wind energy sector is becoming increasingly international.  With the enriched content of our English website we will be able to better inform non-German speaking stakeholders”, says Andreas Wagner, Managing Director of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation.

The English website now offers up-to-date information on recent developments in the German Offshore-Wind sector as well as detailed information about national and international projects in which the foundation is involved. Important service sections like the German Offshore Wind Energy Map, the events directory and a media library are now also available in English.

The Website also provides detailed information about the objectives and key activities of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation, including organisational structure and the members of the board of trustees.

The German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation

The German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation was created in 2005 to promote environmental and climate protection. The main objective is to promote the use of wind energy at sea, and to improve research. The Foundation has since established itself as a nonpartisan, multiregional, independent institution supporting offshore wind energy in Germany and Europe. It serves as a communication platform for political decision-makers, for business, and for research. The Foundation serves as a platform to share expertise and as an initiator of new ideas. At the same time, it also represents and bundles the various stakeholders’ interests, representing them towards politics, economy, and science, as well as to the general public.
