FIMER AND SIMTEL TOGETHER FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN ROMANIA
Published in: Solar, Press Releases
Innovative photovoltaic solutions to promote sustainability, cost reduction, and energy independence across multiple sectors
Thanks to its partnership with Simtel, a Romanian company leading in the design and construction of photovoltaic systems, FIMER, a global player in the solar inverter industry, has contributed to the implementation of several energy efficiency projects across strategic areas in Romania.
The shared goal is to support the energy transition through reliable, high-performance technologies capable of combining energy cost reduction, environmental sustainability, operational safety, and energy independence.
All projects developed under this partnership were finalized by early 2025.
Simtel expressed strong satisfaction with the outcomes, emphasizing how FIMER’s solutions have tangibly supported clients in achieving their ESG goals, reducing their environmental footprint and improving overall energy efficiency. The total installed capacity of the plants using FIMER inverters is over 350 MW in Romania and Republic of Moldova.
Projects Overview
Salonta PV Project - A Major Step Toward a Cleaner and More Sustainable Future
5.5 MW PV park in Simtel own projects portfolio. It includes 13,488 Longi photovoltaic modules and 48 FIMER PVS-100-TL. The expected annual yield is 1328.67 kWh/kWp annually and contribute
to reducing CO₂ emissions by 3.4 million kg.
Renewable energy production in Sibiu for an important retailer
In Sibiu, a 170.5 kWp photovoltaic plant was completed for a leading retail chain. The system includes 392 Longi photovoltaic modules (435 W each) and two FIMER inverters (1 x PVS-100-TL and 1 x PVS-50-TL). Thanks to the east-west orientation of the modules, the expected annual energy yield is 1,210.22 kWh/kWp, significantly contributing to CO₂ emissions reduction.
The plant is fully operational and connected to the grid.
A step forward for sustainability in Râmnicu Vâlcea
In Râmnicu Vâlcea county, another 170.52 kWp photovoltaic plant was installed, also featuring 392 Longi 435 W modules, strategically oriented east-west to optimize solar irradiance.
The system is equipped with two FIMER inverters (1 x PVS-100-TL and 1 x PVS-50-TL).
The estimated annual production is 1,259.59 kWh/kWp, contributing to significant emissions reduction and promoting a sustainable energy development model.
CO₂ emissions reduction in the pharmaceutical sector, in Iași
A photovoltaic plant was recently completed for Farmexim SA, one of the largest pharmaceutical groups in Romania.
The installation has a total capacity of 156.5 kWp, composed of 360 photovoltaic modules (435 W each). It is powered by three FIMER PVS-50-TL inverters and covers a surface of 703 square meters. With an estimated annual production of 1,305 MWh/MWp, the system is expected to avoid more than 126 tons of CO₂ emissions per year—a meaningful impact for such a critical sector.

Products Overview
PVS-50/60-TL is FIMER’s cloud connected three-phase string solution enabling cost efficient large decentralized photovoltaic systems for both commercial and utility applications.
This model belonging to the PVS string inverter family, with 3 independent MPPT and power ratings of up to 60 kW, has been designed with the objective to maximize the ROI in large systems with all the advantages of a decentralized configuration for both rooftop and ground-mounted installations.
Thanks to technological choices aimed at optimizing installation times and costs, the product design features the power module and wiring box enclosed in a single compact chassis thus saving installation resources and costs. Every inverter is capable to connect to Aurora Vision cloud platform to making the assets’ monitoring easy and secure profitability in long term.
PVS-100/120-TL is FIMER’s cloud connected three-phase string solution for cost efficient decentralized photovoltaic systems for both ground mounted and large commercial applications.
This platform, for extreme high power string inverters with power ratings up to 120 kW, maximizes the ROI for decentralized ground mounted and large rooftop applications. With up to six MPPT, energy harvesting is optimized even in shading situations.
The extreme high power module saves installation resources as less units are required. Due to its compact size further savings are generated in logistics and in maintenance. Thanks to the integrated DC/AC disconnection, 24 string connections, fuses and surge protection no additional boxes are required. Standard wireless access from any mobile device makes the configuration of inverter and plant easier and faster. Improved user experience thanks to a build in User Interface (UI) enables access to advanced inverter configuration settings. The installer mobile APP, available for Android/iOS devices, further simplifies multi-inverter installations.
Ana Nedea, Director of Strategy & Business Development at SIMTEL, stated: “Our collaboration with FIMER is built on mutual trust, shared values, and a common vision for a cleaner, more sustainable future. By combining FIMER’s advanced inverter technologies with our expertise in photovoltaic system integration, we are able to deliver efficient and innovative solar solutions. We are proud of the results achieved so far and look forward to continuing this partnership to further strengthen Romanian and European renewable energy landscape”.
Antonio Verdi, CEO at FIMER, said: "Having a trusted partner like Simtel is essential for us. The synergy between our teams has allowed us to implement outstanding photovoltaic systems. These projects are just the beginning of a growing collaboration, aimed at accelerating the path toward a more sustainable energy future for Romania and Europe.”
The partnership was recently strengthened with the awarding of the “Successful Strategic Partner” prize to FIMER during the Simtel 25 Gala, Simtel’s event celebrating 25 years of innovation, collaboration, and shared success.
