Federal minister Altmaier is patron of HUSUM Wind 2019

HUSUM | Hamburg, 21 January 2019: Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, has agreed to become patron of HUSUM Wind, which will be held from 10-13 September 2019. “We are delighted to have secured Mr. Altmaier as patron for HUSUM Wind. The trade fair has accompanied the development of the German wind industry from its very beginnings, and 2019 will be particularly interesting in light of the new market situation as of 2020. It is both exhibition and seismometer for the further development of the wind industry in the wake of the energy transition”, says Arne Petersen, managing director of Messe Husum & Congress.

The leading national wind industry trade fair in September is expecting exhibitors and trade visitors from Germany/DACH and the key neighbouring European markets such as Benelux, Denmark and Poland. The fair will be showcasing product innovations and cutting-edge technology from home and abroad, as well as best-practice examples from Germany’s #1 model region for wind energy. Priority topics at the fair will be innovation despite pricing pressure, intelligent distribution and storage of wind energy, public acceptance and turbine use beyond 2020. Issues such as alternative utilisation concepts for wind power, such as Power-to-X and innovative storage technologies, and post-EEG solutions will also be given a greater platform. The exhibition and congress programme will be rounded off with the forum for young, innovative enterprises and the Windcareer job fair for specialist staff and industry entrants.
