Gennevilliers, France (21/07/2026) https://www.exidegroup.com – Exide Technologies, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable battery storage solutions for automotive and industrial applications, has published its ESG Report 2026, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable battery innovation and its commitment to a resilient future.

Building on its Sustainability Strategy, Exide Technologies has continued to strengthen its approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) management during the past year. The Report outlines advancements in areas including climate action, circular economy, responsible sourcing, workforce development, and governance, while illustrating how sustainability is being translated into concrete actions throughout the business.

Exide’s 2026 ESG Report is largely aligned with the current version of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Delivering measurable progress across the three pillars of Exide’s Sustainability Strategy

The Report is structured around the three pillars of Exide’s Sustainability Strategy, including key topics and their associated impacts, risks and opportunities, policies and actions, metrics and targets. These pillars guide Exide’s actions across climate change mitigation, circular economy principles, workforce development and responsible business conduct.

The ESG Report 2026 highlights important milestones in Exide's sustainability journey. Exide regained its EcoVadis Gold rating, placing the company among the top 2% of companies assessed globally and the top 1% within the battery manufacturing industry. The company also improved its CDP scores for both Climate Change and Water Security, advancing from C (Awareness) to B (Management).

Further highlights of the Report include a 21% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared with the FY22 baseline, an increase in the share of recycled or recovered materials used in production from 74% to 77%, and continued investments in renewable energy projects, including the construction of a sixth photovoltaic installation in Spain. In addition, Exide has committed to developing near-term greenhouse gas reduction targets aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

These achievements affirm Exide Technologies’ commitment to executing its long-term Sustainability Strategy and creating lasting value for customers, employees, business partners, and the communities in which it operates.

"The ESG Report 2026 reflects the progress Exide Technologies has made in integrating sustainability into our business processes, governance structures, and decision-making,” said Stefan Stübing, President and CEO at Exide Technologies. “It demonstrates how our commitment to responsible and sustainable growth is being translated into tangible actions and measurable results across the organization.
