EverSea completes project on two offshore platforms

Transport & installation work for GDF SUEZ E&P Nederland B.V.

EverSea NV (a subsidiary of the Belgian DEME Group) has finalized the execution of an offshore project in the Dutch part of the North Sea. The company performed transport and installation work on two platforms for GDF Suez E&P Nederland (part of the ENGIE Group), the leading gas operator in the Netherlands.

The main scope of the project was the transportation and installation of a 330-ton gas compression module on the E17a-A platform, approximately 100 km northwest of Den Helder. In preparation for this mission, the client also decided to install a new platform crane on the L10-E platform.

The compression module and crane elements were delivered at the port of Antwerp and loaded onto the deck of the self-propelled jack-up vessel Neptune that set sail towards the respective platforms.

Once on site, the Neptune lifted the compression module onto the first platform deck (E17a-A) and then slid it 18 metres into the correct position underneath the helideck. Thereafter, the Neptune installed a new crane on the L10-E platform in the manner requested by the client in order to reduce transportation costs.
