Enviromena, a leader in clean energy solutions, has secured funding from Close Brothers' energy team to support the construction of the Rhigos Road Solar Farm in South Wales.
The agreement, which includes a development and term loan facility worth £3.7m, marks a pivotal step in delivering the 8.99MWp solar farm located in Rhigos, Aberdare - close to Enviromena's existing Bryngolwg Solar Farm.
It's a milestone which continues the £200 million partnership between Enviromena and Close Brothers, which was first announced in 2023, and follows the £30 million funding agreed for the Medebridge Solar Farm in Essex last year.
The Rhigos Road Solar Project has been carefully planned to enhance local biodiversity while producing enough clean energy to power approximately 3,948 homes annually.
Starting early this year, construction is expected to be completed by January 2026.
