Enerpac DTA announces Smart Blade Transporter for in-site moves at Wind Europe 2026
Published in: Wind, Press Releases
Enerpac is announcing a Self-Propelled Electric Transporter (SPET) for moving turbine blades and heavy turbine sections in-site, within storage facilities and on the quayside on stand C52 in Hall 9 at Wind Europe 2026. Developed by Enerpac’s DTA Smart Transporter company in Madrid, the transporter enhances site safety and streamlines manufacture, transport and handling of turbine blades, transition pieces, tower flanges, nacelles, powertrains and gearboxes.
Problem solving is the theme of the Enerpac stand at Wind Europe. Whether improving productivity in wind blade and turbine manufacture and construction or eliminating supply chain non-conformity issues, Enerpac has the tools. From flange alignment and bolt tensioners to heavy lift and transportation systems, Enerpac enables wind turbine manufacturers and onshore and offshore installation contractors to work safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
In-site Blade Transportation
The Enerpac Self-Propelled Electric Transporter (SPET) has a load capacity of up to 80 tons. Operated wirelessly, the SPET transporters can be used to either move turbine sections or transport blades up to 120m length within a production facility. Operating in tandem mode for fully synchronised operation, a pair of SPETs can transport a turbine blade container, weighing up to 160mT including the blade. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the SPET uses fully electric propulsion and offers a range of steering modes allowing the transporter to easily navigate busy production sites.
Enerpac SPET Demonstration
Visitors to Wind Europe 2026 will have the opportunity to see a Enerpac SPET demonstration at the nearby Enerpac DTA production facility.
Easier Onshore Turbine Construction
The stand will also feature the Enerpac Multi-Purpose Lifting Beam (MPLB) allowing contractors to use a single crane to lift and position turbine components to a far higher degree of accuracy than is possible with two cranes. The Enerpac MPLB is the complete lifting cradle for onshore turbine construction. It allows turbine components to be manipulated in 3D, enabling a precision fit during turbine assembly using a single crane.
Eliminating Turbine Tower Assembly Delays
Eliminating the costly project delays caused by non-conformity or ovalisation of wind turbine tower sections is the Enerpac Tower Flange Alignment (TFA-Series) tool. The Enerpac TFA-Series solves bolt-hole misalignment problems by aligning the large internal pipe flanges between tower sections during assembly, allowing them to be bolted together.
Enerpac TFA-Series tools can be used onshore for aligning and de-ovalizing large internal pipe flanges up to 65mm. In addition to onshore flange alignment tools, the Enerpac stand will also feature the Enerpac TFA 20offshore tower flange alignment tool, providing 20.5 ton alignment force.

Comprehensive Bolt Tensioners Range
A highlight of the Enerpac stand will be its growing range of custom and standard hydraulic bolt tensioners for precise, simultaneous bolt tightening of wind turbine foundation bolts, gearbox bolting, Nacelle frame and blades.
New Lightweight Electric Bolting Pump
Stand C52 in Hall 9 will also feature a new Enerpac Lightweight Electric Bolting Pump combining ease of portability, long battery life and providing the power output levels needed to handle the most demanding wind turbine assembly bolting requirements.
The Lightweight Electric Bolting Pump is the latest addition to Enerpac’s growing range of battery-powered pumps and torque wrenches. The tools enable higher levels of operational efficiency through access to online job data and monitoring. For example, the Enerpac SC-Series compact, cordless battery pump allows operators to undertake larger jobs in difficult to access and remote workspaces. While the Enerpac XC2-Series cordless hydraulic pumps offer higher speeds, longer battery run-times and greater oil capacity, allowing larger tool and multiple cylinder applications to be undertaken on a single charge.
