Leading independent service provider Deutsche Windtechnik (DWT) expanded the management team of its offshore unit on 1 October 2025, appointing Achim Berge Olsen as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). At the same time, former CEO Jens Landwehr transitions into the newly created positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer (CFO/CTO). Marcel Meins supports the team as authorised signatory in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). With the new appointments and optimised role distribution, the company plans to further expand its international offshore presence over the coming years while ensuring the necessary operational efficiency and financial strength.

Achim Berge Olsen brings over two decades of hands-on industry experience to the company. As former Managing Director of wpd offshore GmbH and Board Member of wpd AG, he oversaw the development of the offshore business from a project developer to the construction and operation of complete offshore wind farms, making him one of the pioneers of the German offshore industry. In 2022/23, he served as CEO and later as a member of the advisory board at Skyborn Renewables, a leading developer and operator of offshore wind projects.

New products and stronger partnerships to ensure sustainable growth

Achim Berge Olsen, CEO of Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore and Consulting, stated:
"In my new role as Offshore CEO, my aim is to strategically develop the company through new products and partnerships, securing and increasing growth over the long term. At the same time, we want to further improve our existing offerings to become even more attractive to our customers."

Jens Landwehr, CFO/CTO of Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore and Consulting, also welcomes the changes: "With Achim Berge Olsen, we have appointed an outstanding leader to the role of CEO. He perfectly complements our team. Together, we will strategically position our offshore business for upcoming challenges and ensure the company’s sustainable future. In my new role as CFO/CTO, I will focus on further developing the financial strategy and driving growth potential in technical and operational areas."
