DBB Jack-Up Services A/S and MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S extend their framework agreement for offshore wind operations and maintenance services by another two years.
In December 2014, years of successful cooperation between DBB Jack-Up and MHI Vestas Offshore Wind resulted in the signing of a framework agreement for offshore wind operations and maintenance services between the two companies. In light of a very successful cooperation during 2015 the agreement has now been extended until end 2017.
“During 2015 we have experienced the benefits of the framework agreement, which enables us to cut through the red tape and move quickly when service is needed. We knew DBB Jack-Up, who has supported our offshore O&M work during the last 7-8 years well, and it has been a pleasure to see the framework agreement working as intended,” said Asger Pedersen, Senior Director of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind and continues: “we have seen a more efficient planning and execution of our O&M tasks and it was only natural for us to extend the agreement”.
MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has delivered wind turbines to almost 20 different offshore wind power plants in Northern Europe and the framework agreement covers all sites, which MHI Vestas Offshore Wind still has the O&M responsibility for.
“The framework agreement has been a success. We have been able to support one of the world’s largest offshore wind players at their every request this year. The efficiency of having the framework agreement in place has been clear in all aspects of the working relationship between our two companies” said Thorsten Jalk, CEO of DBB Jack-Up A/S and concludes: “With contractual terms and conditions pre-arranged, we have been able to concentrate our efforts on a safe and fast execution of the job and thereby contributing to the industry’s overall goal of lowering the cost of energy. We are very pleased to continue the journey towards this goal with MHI Vestas Offshore Wind for the next two years”.
