Dajin Offshore and Zima Equity Investments sign agreement for partnership to develop Offshore Wind foundations manufacturing facility in Gijon (Asturias/Spain)

Madrid, 2 February 2026 – Dajin Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd, a China- based worldwide leader in manufacturing of foundations foroffshore wind projects and Zima Equity Investments, a Spanish industrial Group leaderin the North of Spain have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on creating onthe premisses of Port of Gijon an manufacturing facility for Offshore Windfoundations.

The Parties will jointly develop a manufacturing plant able to producefoundations for the European offshore wind market and also other global markets,as well as setting the Port of Gijon as a Marshalling Port to serve EuropeanOffshore-Wind projects.

“New Plant and MarshallingPort will constitute a strong economical impulse for Asturias and its growingimportance for the European energy transition. It is the aim of Parties thatseveral local subcontractors and suppliers will be involved in the supply chainof the New Plant” emphasized Miquel Zorita, Corporate DevelopmentDirector at Zima.

Artur Pielech, BusinessDevelopment Manager at Dajin Heavy Industries mentioned: ”This Joint-Venture is an important step for development of localEuropean content by Dajin. It will strengthen Dajin’s global supply chain offoundations but it also reflects commitment of Dajin to European manufacturingecosystem. The New Plant can be subject to extensions and can cover in thefuture full scope of foundations: bottom-fixed and floating structures, enabling to supply allpossible products for shallow-water and deep-water projects for European butalso in the future for the US-market”.

Annual capacity is at the level of 1.5 milliontons of steel. Dajin is offering to transport foundations from China tooverseas markets developing own fleet of large cargo vessels as well asMarshalling Services in European ports. In addition, Dajin is ready tocontribute to European Local Content for offshore wind based on EU fabricationand EU supply chain. Dajin is expanding its capacity and capability includingXXXL monopiles with diameter 16m, length up to 150m and weight up to 5000tonnes as well as floating foundations and jackets with fabrication starting byend of 2025.
