BTU International will highlight its next-generation thermal processing equipment in Booth A780-782 and its representative, DCT’s booth A-482, at the International Green Energy Expo, scheduled to take place March 28-30, 2012 at the EXCO Exhibition Center in Daegu, Korea. BTU experts will be on hand to discuss advanced thermal processing solutions for photovoltaics including metallization, diffusion and annealing.
BTU’s new TRITANTM HV90 dual-lane metallization firing system will be introduced to the Korean market. This state-of-the-art system features increased throughput at 3600 wafers per hour, an edge support transport system, and a temperature spike faster than 3 seconds.
“The HV90 is a dual-lane firing furnace that is optimized for volume production,” said Bob Bouchard, product marketing manager for metallization products at BTU. “Dual-lane processing is a tremendous leap forward in the race to lower cost per watt. Customers switching to dual-lane can expect a 35% increase in capital efficiency and with the TRITAN HV90’s unparalleled performance in lane to lane matching, there is really no reason to wait,” added Bouchard.
The 90 MW metallization firing system also features BTU’s unique TriSpeedTM technology. TriSpeed allows users to take advantage of superior ramp rates – up to 200ºC per second – without compromising the drying and cooling sections of the profile. The three-belt, three-speed system provides revolutionary control of profile development.
