APsystems and Axle Energy Announce Strategic Partnership to Accelerate VPP Integration image

Birmingham, UK – 22 September 2026 – APsystems, a global leader in solar and energy storage solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with Axle Energy, a UK-based virtual power plant (VPP) technology provider, to accelerate the integration of residential energy storage systems into VPP services for APsystems solar powered households in the UK , France and the Netherlands via the APsystems’ APEMS energy management platform. The agreement was officially signed at Solar & Storage UK 2026 at APsystems' booth (I18).

Under this partnership, APsystems' residential battery systems will be integrated with Axle Energy's VPP platform, enabling homeowners to maximize the value of their energy storage assets. In addition to supporting solar self-consumption and home energy management, participating batteries will be able to contribute to grid flexibility through intelligent charge and discharge optimization.

APsystems' energy storage portfolio, including the ELS, ELT series as well as the upcoming Lake-6, LSA-6, and LSH-6, will be fully compatible with VPP applications and designed to support participation in a growing range of flexible energy services.
