London 31 October 2025: Allye Energy, the clean-tech innovator transforming intelligent energy management, has announced the promotion of Dr. Arghavan Nazemi to Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately. Dr. Nazemi, who joined the company in February 2025 as Director of Control Systems, has been elevated to the senior leadership role following her exceptional impact on the company's technical direction and strategic development.
Since joining Allye Energy just ten months ago, Dr. Nazemi has fundamentally transformed the company's engineering capabilities, introducing unprecedented discipline and rigour to software, embedded systems, and control technologies. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing Allye's novel power control technologies for battery energy storage systems, particularly in the critical areas of grid-forming capabilities, seamless synchronisation, and bi-directional power control that are essential for modern grid resilience.
Under her technical guidance, Allye Energy has strengthened its position as a leader in battery energy storage solutions that address the growing challenges facing Europe's ageing electricity grids. Her expertise has been particularly valuable in developing the advanced control systems that enable the company's MAX range of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Dr. Arghavan Nazemi, newly appointed Chief Technology Officer at Allye Energy, commented: "The energy transition presents some of the most complex technical challenges of our time, and I'm energised by the opportunity to lead Allye's technical vision as we scale our impact. Our novel approach to battery energy storage architecture, repurposing of EV batteries and unique power control technologies positions us uniquely to solve the stability challenges that are becoming increasingly critical as renewable penetration grows. Being selected for the UK Battery Sector Mentoring Programme earlier this year reinforced my commitment to advancing UK leadership in this vital sector. This promotion allows me to expand our technical capabilities while ensuring we maintain the engineering excellence that sets Allye apart in a rapidly evolving market."
Dr. Nazemi brings an exceptional technical background to the role, holding a PhD in Energy Management of Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicles from Imperial College London and was previously a Senior Powertrain Control Engineer at Arrival. Combined with her expertise in control systems and embedded software development, she provides Allye Energy with world-class technical leadership as the company scales its operations.
Jonathan Carrier, Founder and CEO of Allye Energy, said: "Argy's promotion to CTO represents a natural evolution of her already significant influence on our company's direction. In less than a year, she has developed our technical capabilities and become a strategic partner in shaping our business direction and customer engagement. Her ability to bridge complex technical innovation with practical market needs has been transformative. This appointment strengthens our leadership team precisely when the industry demands the most sophisticated technical solutions, and reinforces our position at the forefront of battery technologies for a range of applications, including the grid-forming capability essential for energy system resilience."
The promotion comes as Allye Energy continues to expand its impact on grid resilience across Europe, with its MegaMAX range of battery energy storage systems providing critical support for electricity networks facing increasing strain from renewable integration and extreme weather events. The company's focus on the grid edge -where distribution networks face the greatest vulnerabilities has positioned it as a key player in addressing the technical challenges of the energy transition.
Dr. Nazemi's appointment as CTO solidifies the executive leadership of Allye Energy, forming a rounded executive team alongside Founder and CEO Jonathan Carrier and COO Alistair McNeil. All three leaders bring extensive automotive and electrification expertise to the company's mission. Her leadership will be crucial as the company continues to develop solutions that enable the fundamental shift from centralised power generation to resilient, interconnected microgrids capable of both integrated operation and independent function when necessary.
The promotion also highlights the company's focus on developing talent within the rapidly growing UK battery sector, with Dr. Nazemi's recent selection for the Innovate UK Business Connect UK Battery Sector Mentoring Programme demonstrating the calibre of engineering expertise driving Allye Energy's technical innovation.
