24–26 September at ROMAERO: ENERGY EXPO® 2026 offers major prizes for visitors and brings technologies to Romania for the first time

A Daikin heat pump, Canadian Solar all-in-one inverter and battery systems, professional Milwaukee kits for installers and more are among the prizes you can win by visiting ENERGY EXPO 2026 between 24 and 26 September at ROMAERO Băneasa, open daily from 10:00 to 18:00!

ENERGY EXPO® returns to ROMAERO from 24–26 September 2026 with an expanded edition bringing together more than 350 exhibitors and partners, including Romanian and international companies, technology suppliers, developers, specialists, experts and research centres from 28 countries. In addition, the official Opening Conference of the highly anticipated event will take place on 23 September at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. Now in its third edition, the exhibition is aimed at everyone active in the energy sector, from installers to large energy consumers, people looking for solutions under the Casa Verde programme and beyond, entrepreneurs and company representatives seeking to develop energy storage and energy-efficiency projects, manufacturers, investors and local authorities from across the country.

Free access through the ENERGY EXPO App

Visitor access to ROMAERO – 44 Ficusului Boulevard, Bucharest – is free of charge and requires prior registration in the ENERGY EXPO App at https://energyexpo.ro/app/visitor/signup, available through the event platform. The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. The largest exhibition dedicated to the energy sector in South-Eastern Europe spans more than 30,000 m² of indoor and outdoor exhibition space and will offer visitors technologies, equipment and solutions responding to the transformations currently reshaping the global energy sector.

ENERGY EXPO App: access, networking and information in one place

The new ENERGY EXPO App, a first for trade fairs in Romania, is the digital platform designed for everyone attending ENERGY EXPO® 2026 in person. From their account, users can access their ticket and QR code, browse the exhibitor catalogue, event map and conference and workshop programme, connect with other participants, and send or manage meeting 2 requests. Visitors entering the competition for the major prizes offered by partners should also follow the instructions in the TREASURE HUNT section. The platform also centralises useful information and updates available before and during the event.

Public registration is available for the Visitor, Business Visitor, Press/Media and Exhibitor categories. Exhibitor requests are confirmed only after approval by the participating company. The ENERGY EXPO App is web-based and available in English, and can be accessed directly from a browser without downloading it from the App Store or Google Play. For quick access during the event, the app can be added as a shortcut to the phone’s home screen. Each participant also receives an individual QR code for entry to the exhibition, which can be easily added to the phone’s Wallet on iOS or Android.

Two digital platforms for preparing and experiencing ENERGY EXPO®

For this year’s edition, the ENERGY EXPO® digital ecosystem operates through two connected interfaces with distinct roles: the Exhibitor Platform, dedicated to preparing and managing companies’ participation, and the ENERGY EXPO App, designed for everyone attending the event in person. In the Exhibitor Platform, exhibitors can update company and stand information, upload graphic and promotional materials, select additional services, manage their team and invitations, track deadlines and communicate directly with the organising team. Relevant information from the company profile is transferred to the ENERGY EXPO App and becomes visible to participants.

TREASURE HUNT with major prizes: Join, scan, win!

As every year, visitors to ENERGY EXPO® can look forward to surprises prepared by the organisers and partners. Directly in the TREASURE HUNT section of the ENERGY EXPO App, visitors can scan the QR codes available at exhibitors’ stands as well as those displayed during workshops across the three event days. At the end, prize draws based on the points collected will give participants the chance to win major prizes: an 8 kW Daikin Altherma 3 M air-to-water monobloc heat pump worth EUR 6,000; three Canadian Solar EP Cube all-inone systems – each featuring a 7.6 kW hybrid inverter, a 5 kWh battery and a backup system – offered by Lemetal Energy, with a total value of more than EUR 7,500; and three Milwaukee M18 FUEL POWER PACK kits offered by Big Store, with a total value of more than EUR 5,000.

Exhibition areas: H2, H3 and H5

Strong company interest in the third edition of this annual event led to an expansion of the exhibition area over the past month. In addition to Hangars 2 and 3, located at the entrance to ROMAERO and included in the event’s original configuration, H5 has now been added. For the 2027 edition, the organisers plan to expand the exhibition further into Hangar 7, the largest space available at ROMAERO.

The outdoor area will complete this configuration, providing space for machinery, technical installations and large-scale equipment, while H5 will host daily workshops and 3 demonstrations in 45-minute slots between 11:00 and 17:45. Each hall will also feature generous networking areas – the CONNECT VIP LOUNGE – with spaces dedicated to meetings and interaction between visitors and exhibitors.

International companies and technologies presented in Romania for the first time

The third edition of ENERGY EXPO® consolidates Bucharest’s role as a meeting point for the regional energy industry. The event brings together under one roof exhibitors, specialists, guests and partners from Romania and a wide range of international markets, including China, Turkey, Egypt, Poland, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Greece and Georgia, among others.

For a number of international companies, ENERGY EXPO® 2026 marks their first participation in an energy trade fair in Romania. These include:

• Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited – CATL (China): lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, advanced energy storage systems for commercial, industrial and utility-scale applications, as well as electric mobility technologies.

• Optonica Solar / Prima Group (Bulgaria): solutions for photovoltaic systems, including inverters, energy storage batteries and solar panels, featuring products from brands such as Deye, OSDA, LONGi, Risen and SunPro.

Workshops and presentations

Daily workshops will take place in four time slots (11:00–11:45, 13:00–13:45, 15:00–15:45 and 17:00–17:45) on each of the three event days. The team behind the Casa Magazin TV programme remains a trusted partner for open discussions on some of the most current topics in the energy sector: infrastructure, storage and monetisation, technology, industry and buildings. The ENERGY EXPO® 2026 programme will also include a workshop hosted by EFdeN, featuring the Energy Efficiency Simulator. The tool presents, in an accessible format, the impact of solutions and decisions that can reduce energy consumption, translating technical concepts into practical examples for buildings and users.

The major energy topics under debate ahead of ENERGY EXPO® 2026

On 23 September, the ENERGY EXPO® 2026 Opening Conference will take place this year at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, from 08:30 to 15:00, and will be moderated by Teodora Tompea. Participants will include international guests, representatives of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, and the Romanian Senate Committee on Energy, Energy Infrastructure and Mineral Resources, as well as top management from companies operating in the energy sector nationally and internationally. Access to the conference is restricted and can be requested through the ENERGY EXPO App, while media representatives may attend subject to prior accreditation.

This year’s conference agenda will address three key directions for the positioning and development of the energy sector: “Romania, a Pillar of European Security through Energy”, “Optimising and Unlocking the Value of National Strategic Resources” and “The Energy Transition: Between Ambition, Investment and Reality”. The discussions will bring together representatives of public authorities, companies, the investment community and industry specialists in a dialogue on Romania’s role in the European energy architecture and on turning resources and investment into concrete projects.
