How Everpoint Services Is Keeping Solar Out of Landfills on a Zero Waste Mission | In conversation

At the CLEANPOWER event in Texas, Stefann Perrigot, Director at PES Wind caught up with James Timmins, VP of Engineering at Everpoint Services, to explore the rapidly evolving sector of renewable asset decommissioning and resource recovery.

Timmins outlined Everpoint Services' core specialization in providing end-of-life, decommissioning, and remediation solutions for wind and solar projects across North America. To address rising cost pressures and waste management challenges, the company has spent the last two years developing a proprietary process to convert decommissioned fiberglass turbine blades into functional raw materials for the oil, gas, and geothermal drilling sectors.

A central pillar of their operational strategy is keeping solar out of landfills through a dedicated zero-waste mission. Timmins emphasized that while wind blade recycling requires new innovative pipelines, the solar sector benefits from an increasingly mature processing infrastructure. By collaborating with specialized recycling partners, Everpoint Services ensures that solar components are safely processed and entirely diverted from landfills, protecting local ecosystems while meeting the surging clean energy demands of the North American grid.
