PES Solar caught up with Susanne Pflug, the Chief Commercial Officer at EP Cube, at KEY Energy 2026 in Rimini to discuss the company’s EP Cube residential energy storage platform and how integrated home energy systems are evolving as electricity demand continues to grow.

As electrification accelerates across transport, homes, and digital infrastructure, residential energy storage is becoming an increasingly important part of how households manage electricity consumption and energy costs.

EP Cube is designed as an all-in-one home energy solution, combining solar power, battery storage, and intelligent energy management into a single platform. The system is built with installers in mind, focusing on simplified installation, system reliability, and a streamlined user experience.

A key element of the platform is its modular architecture, which allows installers to scale storage capacity while maintaining flexibility across different residential energy configurations. In addition, the EP Cube ecosystem integrates EV charging and smart energy management through a dedicated mobile application, giving homeowners greater visibility and control over how energy is produced, stored, and consumed.

During the interview, Susanne also highlighted the company’s global expansion strategy, with EP Cube already successful across Europe, the United States, and Japan, and additional markets like Australia emerging as demand for residential storage continues to grow.

With electricity consumption expected to increase worldwide, solutions that allow households to produce, store, and manage their own energy are becoming an increasingly important part of the evolving solar and storage ecosystem.
