PES Wind spoke with Tom Cox, Marketing Manager at BUOYANT WORKS LTD, about the company’s approach to improving safety and operational efficiency in offshore wind.
Tom explains how FlexLanding, paired with Buoyant Works’ CTV impact fenders, provides additional grip to reduce vessel movement during crew transfers onto turbine ladders.
He also discusses the company’s use of 50% plant-based polyurethane and how damaged or end-of-life products can be repaired and restored, or ground down and mixed with virgin materials to create new products.
Looking ahead to 2027, Buoyant Works is building awareness of its WindShield and FlexLanding products for new builds and existing offshore projects.
