SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif., July 12, 2017 – Trojan Battery Co., LLC, the
world’s leading manufacturer of deep-cycle batteries, has expanded its sales
team for solar and renewable energy with the appointment of Erguen Oezcan as
senior director of sales for renewable energy. Oezcan brings more than 20
years of experience to this position, which includes senior management
positions at Hoppecke Batteries Inc. where he was responsible for developing
the company’s U.S. operations.
Oezcan is responsible for managing and expanding Trojan Battery sales in the
solar and renewable energy markets in North America. He will oversee
establishing and achieving Trojan’s key sales initiatives for its
comprehensive line of deep-cycle flooded, AGM and gel batteries, as well as
Trojan’s new line of Solar AGM batteries.
“The extensive background in deep-cycle battery technology and energy
storage for solar applications which Erguen brings to Trojan, uniquely
positions the company to continue its expansion worldwide,” said Elke
Hirschman, Trojan Battery senior vice president of North American sales and
corporate marketing. “His expertise in a wide range of battery fields will
support Trojan’s sales growth objectives for this market segment, as well as
identify new market opportunities, define trends, and determine product
needs of customers.”
Oezcan held a variety of sales and marketing as well as executive management
positions at Hoppeke Batteries which is based in Brilon, Germany. Prior to
joining Trojan Battery, he was responsible for developing Hoppecke’s U.S.
operations based in New Jersey, and held the position of President of the
subsidiary. His responsibilities included implementing its strategic plan
to advance the company objectives of expanding its presence in the U.S.
market.
He received his master of industrial engineering degree from the University
of Paderborn in Paderborn, Germany. Oezcan also holds certificates in lean
and process management, as well as corporate management.
