Munich/Germany, Oktober 10, 2016: Industrial laser specialist ROFIN-BAASEL Lasertech GmbH & Co. KG and its more than 260 employees are moving to the Gilching business park. With an area of 17.000 m², the new site offers considerable room for growth – something the word-wide operating technology company was looking for for quite some time.
Modern production facilities with renewable energy supply
The new premises feature 8.000 m² production area, including a 1.000 m² clean room. This helps the laser manufacturer to unite and streamline its production which used to be distributed to three different sites. Additionally, the new facilities meet the increasingly important requirements of environmentally friendly production. A photovoltaic system with an annual yield of 140 kWp, a ground water heat pump and a wood chip heating system partly cover the energy demand from renewable sources.
Short distances, efficient communication
The new high-tech location also features a new application lab for joint process evaluation and development with customers and partners. 4.000 m² office area for research and administration allow for short communication channels, faster response times and streamlined internal logistics.
Conversion measures are almost finished, arrangements for relocation are already in full swing. Beginning October 17th, customers, suppliers and partners will find ROFIN-BAASEL Lasertech GmbH & Co.
