Pfeiffer Vacuum has overhauled the gas-cooled Roots pump OktaLine G. Large pressure ranges and maximum compression ratios are the ideal site of operation for this pump. The pumping speeds range from 250 to 12,000 m3/h. It is ideal for all low and medium vacuum, such as in the coating and semiconductor industry, in chemical and process technology as well as in research and development.
Continuous operation in high pressure ranges The heated gas is cooled on the pressure side and partially returned to the suction chamber. This allows continuous operation in high pressure ranges. The use of hammer-shaped rotors also contributes to the attainment of high differential pressures. The most demanding applications (such as metallurgy, plastics production or cryostat) up to atmospheric pressure can be realized in combination with the gas coolers necessary for the process adaptation.
Less power consumption thanks to frequency converter Modern, energy efficient drives and the use of frequency converters lowers energy consumption by up to 20%. Pumping speed can be precisely adjusted, and a gentle soft-start of the Roots pump is made possible. This keeps operating costs low, increases service life and protects the pump. The gear and bearing chambers in the OktaLine G are completely separate from the gas pumping chamber. Because the rotors operate without making contact, dry operation is assured.
