Energy networks respond to CMA’s provisional determination on RIIO-2 appeals

The Competition & Markets Authority has today published a summary of its provisional determination in the appeals brought by energy network companies against modifications to their licenses by Ofgem.

Responding to the CMA’s summary, David Smith, Chief Executive at Energy Networks Association which represents the UK and Ireland’s energy networks businesses said:

“These are provisional findings which we will now review in detail. It is vital that the final settlement gives network companies a robust framework to invest in a sustainable, Net Zero energy system in the most efficient way possible for customers.”
