DIS AG: Considerable increase of sales and result in 2007

* Sales increased to 452.8 million euro, earnings before taxes (EBT) increased
by 28 % to 64.9 million euro
* Focus on specialists and executives answers market trends
* Disproportionate growth of divisions engineering and IT

Dusseldorf, March 25, 2008 – DIS Deutscher Industrie Service AG achieved a further positive
growth in sales and results for the fiscal year 2007. The recruitment specialist was able to
increase its sales and result considerably. Turnover was increased by 13.4 % to 452.8 million
euro. This increase can be attributed to a positive economic development with a growth of
2.5 % during the reporting period, and the increase in temporary employment as a means to
achieve more flexibility. “All in all, temporary work can look back on a good year”, Andreas
Dinges, CEO of DIS AG, comments. “In particular, our focus on the temporary placement
and recruitment of qualified employees has proved itself, because companies increasingly
recognise that finding the right specialists and executives for the right job is critical for
business success”. The lack of specialists, resulting from demographic changes and aging of
the work force is already apparent in companies. “Here, specialists from DIS AG, which can
be placed immediately, and are specialised in the required field of expertise, are an important
positive point with respect to competition”, Dinges explains.

As of December 31, 2007, the margin for gross earnings of DIS AG increased by 90 base
points to 37.3 % (36.4 % during the previous year). In particular, earnings for consulting and
recruitment, an increase in sales prices and disproportionate growth of the divisions
engineering and information technology (IT) have had a positive effect on the unadjusted
margin. “In particular in the IT sector, and in the area of engineering services, the apparent
lack of specialists has lead to increased demand. Due to our early, comprehensive
qualification and training measures, we were able to meet this demand”, Andreas Dinges

Due to the growth in sales and the improved unadjusted margin, the earnings before taxes
(EBT) increased by 28.1 % to 64.9 % million euro. The group profit is 39.3 million euro. The
result per share was increased by 28.2 % to 3.22 euro.
Due to the structural growth factors, the profit situation of DIS AG remains favourable in 2008
and 2009. “The demand for specialised proposals on the temporary employment market will
increase further”, Andreas Dinges predicts. “We are prepared for this development and for
2008, we are planning a further positive growth in sales with constant profitability.” For the
future, the board of directors of DIS AG expects a further considerable consolidation on the
German temporary employment market. In addition to the overall organic growth, DIS AG
also plans to grow by acquisition. Against this background, the board of directors and the
directorate will propose to the general assembly on August 14, 2008 to enact a dividend of
0.05 euro per share, in order to strengthen liquidity and to invest into external growth of DIS
