Company Puts Confidence in Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy solutions provider Save Energy Group, based in Poole, Dorset has today announced receipt of the Trading Standards ‘Buy With Confidence’ Membership accolaide – as awarded by The Borough of Poole’s Environmental & Consumer Protection Services.

The Buy With Confidence scheme has been designed to help customers avoid rogue traders and to promote honest, reliable traders by providing details of reputable businesses – all of whom have been independently checked.

Paul Randall, Customer Service Director for Save Energy Group: “We want homeowners to enjoy all the benefits that renewable energy products have to offer for their heating, hot water and electricity. By going through the strict scrutiny of the Buy with Confidence Scheme our customers will be able to do so with the complete peace of mind they are working with a partner who will guide them through the process in a fair and honest manner, is committed to the industry for the long term, as well as providing solutions that are right for their home, not right for their provider.”

To become a Buy with Confidence member a business must first apply or be recommended to join the scheme and must then pass a set of tailored background checks. Membership of the scheme is not given lightly – amongst other checks, each applicant will have their complaints history reviewed and will receive an audit by Trading Standards. Good references are required from previous customers – randomly selected by Trading Standards and applicants must agree to abide by the scheme’s code of conduct which requires them to follow the letter and spirit of the law. The members’ staff must also be CRB Checked if they are to enter a customer’s home.

Only if all the scheme requirements are met will a business be granted membership – and their conduct will continue to be monitored thereafter. The scheme does not promise that Buy with Confidence members’ work will be perfect every time, but you can expect any problems to be dealt with fairly by the business and you can turn to Trading Standards for advice in the event of an unresolved issue.

Paul Randall: “Because the criteria are set so high to become a member of the scheme, a business can feel an enormous sense of pride at having achieved it. We are also pleased that the way we conduct our business is met with Trading Standards approval. We have a showroom at our Poole Headquarters and we will continue to show complete transparency, with everyone who visits given a complete tour of our facility.”
