Grenzebach is a modern global organisation with a highly-motivated team who know their trade and are constantly developing new ideas for specific markets. To a large extent, the company’s success is based on the expertise and commitment of its employees. Several generations of them have been employed by the Germany-based company and each of them has helped to ensure this enviable success story. Here, PES speaks to Egbert Wenninger, Vice President Sales, Glass Technology.
PES: When we last spoke, you told us about your partnership with Algoscan. How has this developed since and what has been your clients’ reaction to the arrangement?
Egbert Wenninger: The integration of Algoscan into the Grenzebach Group has been completed and our customers have responded very positively to it. In partnership with Inos Automationssoftware GmbH, the Grenzebach Vision Group has been formed enabling Grenzebach to quote inspection systems for a complete range of businesses. Inspection systems previously purchased on the open market can now be integrated internally with Grenzebach machinery, plant and intelligent control systems. Our customers now have their processing machinery and associated automation systems from a single source – a clear advantage.
PES: Many leading companies have had to take drastic decisions, including staff cutbacks, as a result of the economic downturn. How has this change in circumstances affected Grenzebach specifically?
