BTU International, a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the alternative energy and electronics manufacturing markets, will highlight its next generation thermal processing capabilities at the upcoming European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (PVSEC), scheduled to take place September 5-8, 2011, at the CCH Congress Centre and International Fair in Hamburg, Germany.
“This year we’re focusing on next generation technologies to help our customers get more out of their production lines,” said Jan Paul van Maaren, BTU’s vice president of marketing. “Dual-lane processing with our TritanTM firing furnace can increase capital productivity by 50% and the value of Class B cells can be fully restored using our forming gas process and annealing furnaces.”
BTU’s new TRITANTM dual-lane metallization firing system will be highlighted at the show. This state-of-the-art system features increased throughput at 3600 wafers per hour, an edge support transport system, and a temperature spike faster than 3 seconds. The 90 MW metallization firing system also features BTU’s unique TriSpeedTM technology, allowing users to take advantage of superior ramp rates–up to 200ºC per second–without compromising the drying and cooling sections of the profile. BTU will also feature its MERIDIANTM in-line diffusion system. This system is the industry’s most successful in-line diffusion system with well over 2 GW in customer commitments.
