Convent College New Expert Knowledge For The Offshore Wind Energy

Oldenburg/ Elsfleth. The recently awarded specialist for personnel services in the offshore wind energy – the Convent Offshore GmbH – goes his way consistently and trains 14 young professionals from the fields of industry and crafts, having started a new basic training course in early December. To meet the complex requirements of public purchasers in the offshore work, the expert from Oldenburg is increasingly relying on the company’s own education and training of its technicians. At the beginning of the basic training to become a “service and construction engineer offshore” the extensive offshore and safety trainings – such as the working at heights – have been started this week.

In-house education with focus on practical training
Sebastian Fleper, head of Convent College, is satisfied with the first impressions and points out the motivation of the 14 future offshore technicians related to the practical offshore trainings. “Based on the analysis of recent back- runs, regular project-related feedback loops and in collaboration with all stakeholders – companies, lecturers and students – we have revised the modular training concept and adapted it useful to future real needs of our customers,” says Fleper.

“Due to our practical training form and experience of our company in the market, we are now in a position to provide the needed manpower with the best qualifications in the shortest possible time”, Fleper explains further. Thus Convent Offshore and its alliance partners of the Wind Alliance guarantee a broad-based education – practical and adequate.
